Privacy Policy

Zero data collection · GDPR-aware · Honest

PixelBoost does not collect, store, or transmit your images or personal data. The AI model runs entirely inside your browser. No image pixel ever reaches our servers — because we don't have servers that touch your content.

Scope

This policy covers how PixelBoost, operated by RuntimeHub, handles information when you visit pixelboost.runtime-hub.com. It applies to all visitors including those from the EU (GDPR), California (CCPA), and the UK (UK GDPR).

What we do not collect

PixelBoost itself does not collect any of the following:

  • The images you upload or process — they never leave your device
  • Your name, email address, or any account information
  • Your IP address or geolocation (we have no backend)
  • Usage analytics, heatmaps, or session recordings
  • First-party cookies of any kind
  • Any user identifier or personal profile

How your data stays on your device

When you drop an image into PixelBoost, it is read using the File API and stored temporarily in your browser's RAM. The AI model is downloaded once from Hugging Face's CDN and cached in your browser's IndexedDB storage — no re-download on repeat visits.

All processing happens inside HTML5 Canvas and WebGPU/WASM APIs, in a Web Worker thread, entirely within your browser tab. The output PNG is generated in-memory and offered as a direct download. Closing the tab clears all image data automatically.

  • Model files fetched from cdn.jsdelivr.net and cached locally
  • No image data sent during or after processing
  • No WebSocket, no REST API, no backend handles your images

Google AdSense

PixelBoost displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and tracking technologies to serve personalised ads. This is independent of RuntimeHub's own data practices.

Google AdSense may:

  • Set third-party cookies to serve and measure ads
  • Use your IP address to approximate location for ad targeting
  • Track impressions and clicks across websites
  • Use DoubleClick technology for interest-based advertising

Manage your preferences at adssettings.google.com ↗.

Third-party resources loaded

When you visit PixelBoost, your browser makes requests to these third-party domains:

  • fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com — Google Fonts
  • cdn.jsdelivr.net — Transformers.js library and model files
  • pagead2.googlesyndication.com — Google AdSense
  • huggingface.co — AI model weights (downloaded once, then cached)

Local browser storage

PixelBoost stores AI model files in your browser's IndexedDB (managed by Transformers.js) to avoid re-downloading ~20MB on every visit. This data is stored only on your device, scoped to this origin, and clearable at any time via browser storage settings.

We do not use localStorage or sessionStorage for any first-party purpose.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because PixelBoost collects no personal data, most GDPR and CCPA rights do not apply to our own processing. For data collected by Google AdSense, exercise your rights at myaccount.google.com ↗.

Children

PixelBoost is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance. Questions? Reach us via the RuntimeHub website.
